Nancy has been in the Real estate business world since 1987 specializing primarily in the beach areas in & around Niantic, CT.

 

She graduated from Fairleigh Dickenson University with a major in biology & subsequently earned two masters degrees from Fairleigh Dickenson University & University of Hartford.

 

Nancy is married to Dr. J. William Healy, a neurologist practicing in Hartford. Nancy & her family moved from West Hartford CT to Crescent Beach in Niantic twenty years ago.

 

She taught biological sciences in East Lyme high school for several years & started the East Lyme schools sailing team which has competed on regional & national levels ever since it’s founding almost twenty years ago.

 

Nancy served as president of New England School Sailing Association, Treasurer of the Interscholastic Sailing Association & President of the U.S. 420 Class Association. In addition,  served on the executive board of the Niantic Yacht Club.

 

For the past 17 years Nancy has been a volunteer fund raiser for Hospice of Southeastern CT. During that time has served  as chairman of the Hospice of S.E.CT. fundraising Registrar which she established in 1989. This is the largest & most successful fundraising event netting approx $35,000 for Hospice last year.

 

For enjoyment, Nancy is a lover of classical music & the fine arts. She is a member of the Florence Grswold Museum, The Lyman Allen Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Connecticut Public Radio, The Smithsonian Museum and The Museum of The City Of New York (her birth place).

 

Her two sons have been on the U.S. Olympic Sailing Team in the past & her two daughters are attorneys specializing in immigration.
